Terms and Conditions

Booking and Payment

When you receive our booking form (i.e., Invoice with Itinerary attached) and return the correct non-refundable deposit as specified in your booking, a contract will then exist between you (the buyer) and us (the seller).

The balance must be paid in full no less than 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. If you are booking within 6 weeks of the start date, then full payment is required as a deposit.

Please refer to the “Deposit” and “Payment” sections below for further details.

All customers must have valid travel insurance. See “Insurance” for full details.

Package Travel Regulations

We act as an agent booking accommodation, transport, and other services on your behalf. We do not sell package holidays as defined by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Therefore, these regulations do not apply to your booking.

Please ensure you have suitable travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events.

See also: “Insurance” and “Supplier Failure or Unavailability” sections.

Children Policy

Our walking holidays may not be suitable for children under a certain age (please inquire at booking). We reserve the right to decline bookings for children if we believe the itinerary is unsuitable.

Complaints and Problems

If you have any issue during your holiday, please raise it immediately with your driver or with our office. We will do our best to resolve the matter. If still dissatisfied, please write to us within 14 days of your return. We will reply within 7 days.

Data Protection & Privacy

We collect and retain your personal details solely for the purpose of organising and delivering your walking holiday. This includes sharing necessary details (e.g., names, dietary requirements, contact info) with accommodation and transport providers. We do not sell or pass your data to third parties for marketing purposes. By booking with us, you consent to this use of your information.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £150 (or £200 per person for solo walker) per walking holiday area or section is required at the time of booking. For example, if you book holidays in both Anglesey and the Llŷn Peninsula, the total deposit will be £300 per person (or £400 per person for solo walker).

In certain cases, we may request a higher or full upfront payment where suppliers require advance payment. Where this applies, these costs are fixed and non-refundable from the moment of booking and will be deducted from your final balance. The total holiday cost remains as originally quoted.

Deposits are generally non-refundable. However, in the unlikely event that your chosen holiday area(s) are fully booked and we are unable to offer an alternative that is acceptable to you, your deposit will be refunded in full, less any applicable card or bank transfer fees.

See also “Booking and Payment” for balance deadlines.

Financial

Your deposit and final payment will be held in our HSBC business account until all holiday suppliers are paid.

Fitness

It is a condition of booking that all participants are in good health and fit to undertake a walking holiday. Please consult your doctor if unsure and notify us of any relevant health concerns.

Force Majeure

In rare cases where we must cancel or vary your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control, we will offer new dates or a full refund.

If an accommodation or transport provider cancels their service, we will notify you as soon as possible and may offer alternatives. We will advise you of any price changes this may involve.

Health, Safety and Responsibility

Participation in walks and use of any transport we arrange is at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for injury, illness, loss, or damage unless caused by our proven negligence.

We are not liable for accommodation or vehicle damages, nor for transport delays or cancellations (car, ferry, train, etc.).

Insurance

We act solely as an intermediary, booking accommodation, transfers, and other services on your behalf. We are not responsible for any loss, costs, damages, or disruptions resulting from illness, injury, cancellations, supplier insolvency, or other unforeseen events.

You are responsible for ensuring your insurance covers:

  • Medical expenses and illness

  • Cancellation

  • Supplier failure and insolvency

  • Any disruption (for example, Covid-19 related disruptions, government restrictions, or similar events beyond our control)

See also: “Supplier Failure or Unavailability” and “Package Travel Regulations” sections.

Luggage

The maximum is one bag per person (20kg max). Bags must be closed securely with no external attachments. We are not responsible for any damage or inconvenience caused.

Modification of Your Itinerary & Cancellation Policy

If you wish to make any changes to your booking before the balance due date, we will apply a fee of £50 per person plus any costs incurred (e.g. non-refundable deposits lost).

Requests for changes made less than 42 days before the start of your tour will be treated as a cancellation.

Cancellation Charges:

  • More than 42 days before: You lose your non-refundable deposit.

  • 42–29 days before: 50% of the total holiday cost.

  • 28–15 days before: 75% of the total holiday cost.

  • 14–0 days before: 100% of the total holiday cost.

If you are part of a group and someone cancels, a single supplement may apply to the remaining members.

All modification and cancellation requests must be made in writing.

We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance to cover all cancellation-related costs.

For Advance Payment option, See also: “Payment” and “Advance Payment” sections.

Minor Changes to Itinerary

We reserve the right to make minor changes to your itinerary (such as accommodation of a similar standard, walking route adjustments, or timing changes) when necessary for operational reasons. We will inform you of any such changes in advance.

Payment

UK Bank Transfers – Preferred for domestic payments.

International Transfers – Payments must be made in GBP. You are responsible for all transfer fees.

Card Payments – Accepted for both UK and international customers. There is no surcharge applied by us, though your card issuer or bank may still charge their own fees.

Cheques – We no longer accept personal cheques as a method of payment.

Advance Payment – Should you wish to settle the full balance of your holiday more than six weeks prior to your departure, please contact us to arrange payment. Kindly note that if the balance is paid earlier than 42 days before departure, the cancellation policy will take effect from the date of payment rather than from 42 days prior to departure. We strongly advise all customers to obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover any potential cancellation.

Please note:

– Your booking will be treated as confirmed and fully contracted upon receipt of full payment.

– Our standard cancellation fees (as detailed in the Cancellation Policy) will apply from the date of full payment.

– No refunds will be made unless cancellation terms are met.

– We recommend ensuring your travel insurance is in place before making any early balance payments.

Pets

Most of our accommodations and transport providers do not accept dogs. Therefore, our itineraries are not pet friendly.

Prices, Errors & Surcharges

1. Information and Pricing: We make every effort to ensure all prices and details are correct. However, mistakes may occur. If we cannot reach an agreement, the contract may be cancelled and your payments refunded.

2. Surcharges: We reserve the right to amend prices if major cost increases occur (e.g. fuel, accommodation, currency).

  • We will absorb any increase up to 2%

  • Increases over 10%: you may accept, reject (with refund), or cancel

Special Requests

Please inform us at the time of booking of any special requests (e.g., dietary needs, allergies, mobility issues). We will do our best to accommodate these, but cannot guarantee availability or provision by third-party suppliers.

Supplier Failure or Unavailability

If a third-party provider (e.g. hotel or taxi) becomes unavailable after payment, we will do our best to arrange a similar replacement.

As we act only as your agent, we cannot be held financially responsible for supplier insolvency or closure. Any increased costs will be discussed with you before changes are made.

We strongly advise that your travel insurance covers supplier failure.

See also: “Insurance” and “Package Travel Regulations” sections.

Visas & Passports

You are responsible for ensuring your passport, visa, vaccinations, and documents are valid for travel. We are not responsible for issues due to incomplete documentation.

Your Own Travel

Do not book flights, trains, or other travel until your walking holiday booking and accommodations are confirmed by us.

We reserve the right to update our Terms and Conditions document without notice. This document was last updated on the 14 March 2026.
